The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead and his eyes are dimmed. ~ Albert Einstein.

Every year, on the festive occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, I keep an eye for the creative eco-friendly thematic Ganesh Pandals in Mumbai besides the regular ones that spring up in the city. Not only are these Ganeshas creative and friendly to the environment but also double up as Ganeshas who spread a social message along with the regular bonhomie and happiness that accompanies the festival.
So like every year, I celebrated the annual 11 day Ganesh Chaturthi festival by indulging in Ganpati Pandal hopping to my heart’s content and how could my hopping be complete without you! So today I would like to share the two eco-friendly creative Ganeshas that stood out among all – 51 Kg Corn Ganesha and 14,500 Pencil Ganesha!
Let's check them out (in pictures):
1. Subhash Lane, Subhash Lane Ganesh Sai Seva Mandal, Kandivli (W) - 51 KG. Corn Ganesha.
2. Shankar Lane, Shri Sapurpada Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal, Kandivli (W) - 14,500 Pencil Ganesha.
Besides being made up of pencils completely, this beautiful Ganesha naturally had an affinity towards children...
and He also had a very important message to give to them:
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. ~ Nelson Mandela.
