Shower Your blessings, O Ganesha.
I offer my ego as an oblation.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations: Day 8 | Ganpati Pandal Darshan | Blessings Ganesha:
From small, to medium to BIG Ganeshas,

During the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi,
Ganesha, with His various avatars - shapes and sizes,
leaves His swarm of fans gaping in awe,

I am particularly enamoured by these bigger, giant, life-like Ganeshas -

He generally stays for the entire course of 11 festive days on earth
and proceeds for visarjan towards the end of the festival...

His giant life-like size, to me, is metaphorical –
I am down here - tiny and small,
He is up there - far and above.
And yet, He is never unreachable...
Standing beneath His majestic-al figure, hands folded and head lowered - the force that hits, that aura, the blessedness of that rare transcendental moment is simply stunning. It's a feeling, delicate but powerful.
A hallowed connection between the seen and the unseen, the earthly and the divine...

PS.: This year, come along with me for Ganesh Pandal darshan from Mumbai on My Yatra Diary... visiting the very friendly Ganesha, peeping into one pandal each day.
