Temples along the way from Rishikesh to Haridwar

God is everywhere in the holy towns of Rishikesh, Haridwar; between and beyond as well. While driving down the 28 km stretch from Rishikesh to Haridwar, one comes across innumerable shrines and temples spread all over the highway. Pilgrims do take out time to visit these as well, some of which are described below –

Glass Temple

Houses idols of various Gods and Goddesses and attracts a large number of pilgrims due to its magnificent and dazzling works of mirror patchworks and glass architecture.

  7. What beautiful, beautiful artwork and colors! I have always been attracted to bright colors like this, and because of this I may have dressed a bit like a clown when I was younger. They just attract me. I have learned through the years to tone things down with my dressing, but I still am colorful at heart. The second picture, I thought they were real girls, so lifelike!

  18. There are many temples in Japan, too. The religious people visit 48 temples in Shikoku region and get the seal of their temples. After visiting all 48 temples, they make a hanging scroll by all 48 seals.
The glass works of your country are very very beautiful. It's demanded high skill, I think.
Thank you for sharing gorgeous works.

That is the great thing about blogging we can see what our friends do around the world.
You asked about the Skytower, and yes they do bungee jump from off there. We have often been dining in the restaurant and you see people leaping off.

    Happy Sunday
